Well, generally opener is better on smaller lakes due to the water temp
being lower in the larger ones. But this years warm spring temps have
increased the temps so we are about 2 weeks ahead of where we normally
are. So some popular lakes like the ones listed below (Ottertail and
Mille Lacs) should be awesome for opener. The govenor will be on Rainy
Lake for Opener this year but as far as baiting his hooks....Thats why
the state pays for a guide for him where he goes....
