Hovercraft Identification February 2006

by Michael F Crowley. <grania66@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 1, 2008 at 11:12 AM

This machine was pioneered in the USA and in around 1970 was
manufactured, under licence, in Ingersol, Ontario. Marketed under the
name "Flylo". It had a 1500 VW aircooled enging and the lift fan was
driven by a flexiible shaft. It was excellent on ice, and water but
used to dig a hole formitself in snow. It was surprisingly fast on
ice.
