At www.poi66.com, we built a website that draws nice Google Maps and Google
Earth maps of your trip. But you cannot program a map. The good news is
that
you don't have to. You just send an SMS text message with your coordinates
and the website with your track log is updated! You can add pictures later
if you want.
Mike (14 yo), world's first boy sailing the Atlantic, sent his daily
coordinates to create a travel log:

Here's the Volvo Ocean Race track log:
http://www.poi66.com/maps/show_album.php?album=volvooceanrace
The Flux will sail the oceans and sends its coordinates by SMS text
messages:
http://www.poi66.com/maps/show_album.php?album=flux2go
If you want the easy and free service too, read the details at
www.poi66.com. No extra cost, no spam, no hassle. We provide a free (spam
filtered) guestbook, travel log, photo storage and many, many download
facilities for viewing the route in Google Earth, OziExplorer, Tomtom and
GPS.
There's a FAQ section and we try to translate the site to Spanish, French,
German and Dutch. We calculate your direction and speed, along a nice
speed
profile diagram. We add flags of the countries you visit, and know all
cities of the world. You find another city? Add it yourself.
We also provide waypoint collections (lighthouses, buoys) and trails:

So before you leave, check out the site and tell us what you think. We're
always in for site extensions should you have a good idea. It's a great
hobby gone wild.
Suc66 and see you around
