Did I dream it, or is there a Sailorman/Don's equivalent in Nokomis?
All my searching after I excitedly mailed my wife about it, but didn't
note the website, has turned up nothing. Sailorman doesn't have what I
need and Don won't look - and I'm 600 miles away, so *I* can't.
If there is, I went to a web site, and it was quite complete. I need to
call them about a west coast chart kit. Otherwise I dreamed it - but it
was while I was at the computer!
Which is also perhaps useful to ask here:
Is there anyone reading this who has a West coast and Keys Chartkit -
doesn't matter what condition other than readable - they'd be willing to
sell or loan me?
I'm coming from Ft. Lauderdale, around to someplace I have not yet
determined, but probably either the ****t Charlotte or Ruskin area. I
have two Chartkits for the East Coast and Keys - but not one for the
west. If you need the East Coast and Keys, and have more than one of
the other, I'm thrilled to trade.
This is a one-off. After we put her on the hard for the summer and
upgrades, we're going back, once only, to cross the stream and keep
going. So, I'm reluctant to buy a new one which will not be opened for
more than those two transits - not even cruises!
Hay - ulp! :{)) Any ideas, if the above isn't fruitful? We're leaving
Sunday March 21to drive to where ever it is that we'll put the boat
(making those calls this week), renting a car, driving to FLL to pick up
our boat after we close, and sail it around. Of course, if there's
someone reading this in the SE FL area who has one, we'd come get it
there, too.
Thanks...

"And then again, when you sit at the helm of your little ****p on a
clear night, and gaze at the countless stars overhead, and realize
that you are quite alone on a great, wide sea, it is apt to occur to
you that in the general scheme of things you are merely an
insignificant speck on the surface of the ocean; and are not nearly
so im****tant or as self-sufficient as you thought you were. Which is
an exceedingly wholesome thought, and one that may effect a
permanent change in your de****tment that will be greatly appreciated
by your friends." - James S. Pitkin
