Is there much they could do for cruising? YA, the IYRU and all the 
others were originally set up by and for racing. I think even training 
was an addition. They actually do a fair bit for juniors in WA at least, 
but there's usually a charge for camps and such - a bit more than you 
would like for the half serious - though fair enough because it's too 
big an ask these days for some of the work to be voluntary. Quite a lot 
of attention goes to the elite, but as for money sailors mostly pay 
their own way or some have Institute of S****t funding. If YA gives much 
it won't be a big part of what the sailors need.
