Sail repairs in Perth

by brucef <brucef@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 3, 2007 at 08:55 PM

Hi guys,

can anyone recommend a good (cheap) sailmaker in Perth? We have
used Hills before and he was good but not cheap.

I need some repairs to my laser sail. It is a bit blown, but good
enough
for me (I don't race). Only problem is the batten pockets are falling
off
and the battens fall out. I lost one last time I went sailing.

Also, how hard is it to move numbers from one sail to another?
I picked up a good plywood mudlark end of last year. It has a
great rig, but my boy prefers his old fibreglass hull. So I thought
I would swap the rigs over (not quite trivial since they are
entirely different). The number is falling off the old baggy sail,
but the number on the new sail is firmly fixed and I would like
to update it to match the hull.

Need to get onto fixing the fleet up in time for the season which
starts in October some time. All 5 boats need work!
