That is the sort of price I have in mind!
I have never found any specs or websites for the RedJacket, probably
because they are too small to race. Well, they could make a good
one-design fleet, but most small keelboats are a couple feet longer
and the RedJacket can't keep up in a mixed fleet.
There are lots of them here in Perth, you see them moored all
over the Swan river.
They are about the smallest keelboat I have seen, but they have
a pretty big cockpit and (very) basic overnight accomodations
for two. Similar to John's Hartley TS16 in many ways. Not sure
what the draft is, I have never seen one on a trailer. Fairly
shallow for a keelboat I would think, I have seen them pulled
up on the sand in Matilda Bay, but not as easy to launch as
a trailer sailer obviously.
I crewed on the RJ's big sister RedWitch for a few years
and I was impressed with the sturdy construction and
predictable handling. I think I would sail a RedJacket
to Rottnest.
