Old school tradition at the CYCA is the main reason. The only cats the
CYCA
like are the photographers boat a Shark Cat and those ugly charter boats
on
the harbour that take 200 people to watch the start.
Also there would be instant embarrasment for all the old salts as their
records get smashed by madmen on Graingers and the like.
They have tried other things in the past though.. Remember the
Superyachts.
That was a spectacle. but not great TV.
It would be good to see something like Playstation and her sister cats
having a run south though. In fact, with the hobart fleet dwindling
somewhat
since 98, it may be a choice the CYCA might have to make eventually.
