I still don't understand this "traditional" way of thinking.
"If it isn't a monohul it isn't worth sailing" type mentality.
I have sailed for 12 hours straight on my RL28 (mono hull) and could not
wait to arrive so that I could stand up straight again, however I have
sailed for 10 days straight from Vanuatu to Australia on a 50' catamaran
and
could have happily sailed it for another month or two.
They sit better, they feel better and they are more "human friendly" in my
opinion, and YES they are faster.
Yet the old salts will always bag them till the cows come home.
