1. The Ratchet block should be on the traveler car not the boom.( I may
have
missread what your saying though)
2. You may find that the ratchet block has a Becket to allow you to fasten
the other block to its top.
3. The Cleat and Fairlead are possibly for your mainsheet- Assuming the
ratchet block doesnt have a cleat.
4. Traveller. Without knowing the car type, heres my guess. The traveller
line starts at the Car, Then goes to the outside block, then back through
the block on the Car, then out to the cleat. Possibly and "endless"
system.
Which is one rope that does both sides. Each end is fixed to the Car and
there is a loop of excess on the tramp. ( if that makes sense)
