A read of the paper this morning, a quick call, and 30 minutes later
there is another boat in my yard ;-)
an older international 420 class, with registered trailer, all deck
hardware in good condition and two sets of sails plus a spin****r for
$600. Needs new running rigging and the rudder needs to be glassed. i
figure $100 for rope, and i can do the repairs with the glassing
materials i already have. Looks like a lot of fun!!!!
On another positive note, I went to talk with the local water board
last week and they are interested in developing the lake as a sailing
resource and have funding available. They have agreed in principle to
the building of a boat storage yard at their cost for public use (for
free). So it looks like I'll be able to move the boats out there and
get more sailing done!
