420 sailing on the lake

by imagineero <imagineero@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 2, 2008 at 02:46 AM

took the 420 to the lake today (mount isa) with the promise of some
wind. Things were looking good and the wind was building, maybe a bit
too much for my liking, but i was looking forward to seeing what it
could do. Then a storm brewed up while i was riggind and it started
raining. Decided to still go out. Had the main up and the wind was
really getting out of hand - I decided to can it. While de rigging, i
got struck by lightning, twice! Scared the willies out of me, but no
harm no foul. it wasnt a direct strike, more a mild electric shock.
Got everything down and drove back home. Hope there is wind tomorrow
(and no rain) ;-)
