OK for the stupid people. Last "dive for charity" situation I organised 
there was a rather large public and other liability policy necessary. 
Instead of losing some of our "profits" by paying this I approached some 
insurance companies and one ( well the first)  gave us the policy in
return 
for being a major sponsor.

Too simple.

As for  $US250 for a discount divers medical we got some local GPs ( 
qualified for dive medicine ) to do it for "bulk billing" fees i.e. 
Medicare, interestingly most were embarrassed putting the card through the

machine as they would have done it for nothing.


Moral of the story is approach the insurance company/s for sponsor****p and

get a better deal on the medicals
