That is surprising when folks disregard the obvious.
A few years back, I was watching a demo of skydiving at Long Branch, NJ.
The two jumpers intended to land on the beach, but strong winds pushed
them
far out to sea. One jumper deliberately steered towards a small boat in
the area, and that boat turned away from him and left. He was later
rescued
by a lifeguard boat.
