MFV... Good idea or not?

by "alan dav" <alan.davidson14@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 15, 2006 at 05:06 PM

Hi all,

I am a novice potential boat owner living in Arbroath Scotland directly on
the north sea.

I have always fancied an MFV 35 foot or bigger and now I am living right
on
the sea , its now or never.

We have small kids that I would like to be raised having an awareness of
nature, the elements, the sea etc and it would seem a good way to go about
it.

I have been looking at some boats for sale on the net but have not made
any
serious offers.

Does anyone have any advice as to whether getting such a boat is a good or
a
bad idea given my relatively little sea experience.

They do seem roomy and would be great for holidays, fi****ng trips etc.

Regards Alan

PS....I am happy to do some work on such a boat but serious hull or deck
work is way outwith my abilities.
