I recently bought a brand-new Bluetooth-only GPS for a pittance on E-bay
and
can re****t that it is simply superb in use. Connects with my laptop in
around 3 seconds from switch on, 54 channels, very sensitive in enclosed
spaces, vibration-sensor switch on, long battery life between charges from
lithium-ion battery, tiny beyond belief, and very accurate (variation is
less than 3 metres when compared to my Garmin).
My most recent mapping Garmin GPSMAP 60CS, which I've had for around 2
years
now, cost me an arm and a leg, the Bluetooth device cost me £14.99!
Who says the cost of sailing/navigation isn't coming down?
Expect to generate a lot of flack from the
parallel-ruler/pencil/EP/compass
brigade, but who cares? £14-99 for a GPS can't be bad!
